괴탄

Lump Coal

 

괴탄 은 덩어리로 된 무연석탄으로서 발열량은 6,300~6,500 kcal/kg 정도로 분탄 보다 높으며, 규격 별로 소 괴 (10~30mm), 중 괴 (30~50mm), 대 괴 (50mm 이상)로 분류되며 제강회사의 전기로 및 전기로 출강의 가탄제로 주로 사용되며 기타 생석회용, 합금 철 및 주물용 등 산업용, 콘크리트 양생용, 난방용 (평균 7,500 kcal/kg) 및 보일러용 등으로 사용.

 

Lump coal is a chunk of smokeless coal containing a calorific value between 6,300~6,500kcal/kg, which is higher than powdered coal. The standard sizes for lump coal is divided into small (10~30mm), medium (30~50mm), and large (above 50mm), which are usually used in electric arc furnaces. Other uses of lump coal are involved in lime productions, ferro-alloy productions, molding and casting productions, concrete curing, heating systems (average of 7,500 kcal/kg), and boilers.
